How to apply

Postcode Innovation Trust operates its own society lottery and receives all of its funding from players of People's Postcode Lottery. As more players join the Lottery, more funds are available to award to good causes. 

When an opportunity arises for the Trust to consider adding a new beneficiary, the Trust team identify any gaps in the current funding portfolio in line with the Trust strategy and current sector needs. Potential beneficiaries are then identified and researched, with due diligence carried out on their impact, financial stability, thematic and geographical focus.

If an organisation is invited to apply to the Social Investment Programme they are asked to present in person to the Investment Panel, whose recommendations are then presented to the Board for approval. Organisations invited to apply under other programmes will have their applications presented to the Board, which are then either approved or rejected.
