Social Investment Scotland Launches the Next Series of Their Ambitions Masterclass Programme

Following incredible success and feedback from last year, Social Investment Scotland are launching another series of their Ambitions Masterclass Programme, thanks to the support of players of People's Postcode Lottery, funded through the Postcode Innovation Trust. 

The programme is for social enterprises and charities with ambitions to scale their impact and increase sustainability. This is a strategic, executive level programme, specifically designed for leaders of Scottish social purpose organisations.

There are six masterclasses in the full programme. These can be enjoyed as individual events, although managers and leaders are encouraged to sign up for the full series to gain maximum benefit. Content will be a mix of expert speakers, panels, teaching and reflection. In addition to experiencing executive level training, this is also an excellent opportunity to network with peers in a mutually supportive environment.

The six masterclasses are:

  • Purpose Driven Leadership
  • Scaling Operations and Impact
  • Managing Change
  • Governance and Leadership including managing your board
  • Marketing and Storytelling, including social media strategies and engagement
  • Perfecting the Pitch and Raising Investment

Last year, the Postcode Innovation Trust awarded SIS £51,625 to launch the first Ambitions Masterclass. They worked with 36 leaders from 29 different organisations to help purposeful organisations achieve greater social impact.

Participants were overwhelmingly positive about the experience, with one attendee saying that it was 'the most useful and enjoyable training series I have ever attended', and another that “It provided me with an opportunity to take a step back and reflect, review and think about our business in a safe thought-provoking and stimulating environment. The workshops were timely in terms of my thinking about our long-term plans and aspirations”.
