Social Investment Scotland (SIS) are a social enterprise and charity offering loan funding and business support for social enterprises, charities and community groups. Their vision is for an Impact Economy, when social entrepreneurs, businesses, consumers, investors, and government are aligned and focused on delivering impactful actions and meaningful outcomes. SIS’s market-building activity provides projects, programmes, and support to help communities and social enterprises develop capacity, confidence, and resilience.
Funding from the Postcode Innovation Trust was used to deliver SIS's Ambitions Masterclass Programme - an executive-level, high-quality masterclass and support programme for leaders of Scotland’s social purpose organisations. It was also used to run market-building events to connect social leaders to commercial opportunities with public and private sector businesses.
Social Investment Scotland also received further funding for their 'Ambitions for Recovery' programme in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This free programme worked with 20 social purpose leaders to develop recovery and growth plans.
