JERICHO run a diverse range of social enterprises and social projects which create positive change in communities.
Often the people they help just need a caring, supportive employer who will give them a chance to shine in work and in life. In some cases, the people they support have lived experience of homelessness, mental ill health, addiction, disability, modern slavery or the criminal justice system; in other cases, they have struggled with the education system, experienced a difficult home life, or have low confidence and self-esteem.
Their social enterprises offer an excellent range of goods and services to the communities they serve and also have the added benefit of providing supported employment opportunities to local people who need them most.
Funding from Postcode Innovation Trust, thanks to players of People's Postcode Lottery, will be used to transform one of their buildings into a thriving recovery hub for women who have experienced abuse. The Live, Work, Heal hub will provide longer-term support to tackle key issues that affect these women, providing help with all aspects of recovery under one roof.
