Northumberland Wildlife Trust

Since 1971, Northumberland Wildlife Trust has been dedicated to preserving wildlife and natural habitats. They offer educational events and activities for all ages at their visitor centres and nature reserves, encouraging people to value and protect nature.

The Trust manages over 60 nature reserves in Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland, ensuring these areas are safe havens for wildlife. They also advise landowners, run conservation projects, and campaign against green space development. Supported by over 600 volunteers and 64 full-time staff, their efforts include tree planting, conducting surveys, fundraising, and educational outreach.

Northumberland Wildlife Trust (NWT) will use the investment package to develop a new and sustainable income stream for their organisation through Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
